Oscar Complaints
Posted by: | CommentsRatings were up 10% from last year, and polls indicate that viewers of the Oscars last night mostly enjoyed the telecast and would like Hugh Jackman back to host next year. So why am I still harping on the negatives? Well, no matter how many entertaining elements of the ceremony people remind me of, I have to argue that while the awards themselves were great, the television show was not. And unfortunately, I was not inside the Kodak auditorium where I might have better appreciated the things we all at home should have been able to appreciate. And anything I found entertaining from where I sat in my apartment was pretty much thanks to talented presenters and winners
The 2009 Academy Awards are over and done with, and now it’s time to talk trash about EVERYONE! Was it a good year? Did Hugh Jackman succeed as host? How did they make out on length — did you fall asleep? What was up with those weird line-up presentations? And who got more camera time –
A Great and Terrible Beauty [fairytale]
Posted by: | CommentsProbably my third or fourth trailer for this book. It gets…worse as it goes along, but I think it’s passable. It is, if nothing else, finally using actual film clips! I know there are going to be complaints about my cast, but I was a) working with what I had and b) everybody has their own opinions. Gwyneth Palthrow for Fee was one of my only choices, and I liked the archery scene enough to use her. And before you tell me “Ann wasn’t that pretty”, consider how she was in the realms, as described by Gemma: pretty, Ann as Ann would be without worries or cares…or sweets.

Ann – Keira Knightley in Pride and Prejudice
The music I used was “Fairytale” (appropriate for Fee’s story, at least the first half of it) by Enya and “The Grand Finale” from Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman. The text is from the first book.

Indie films.
Posted by: | CommentsIt makes me so mad that every year the number of actors and movies increase…but they all suck. Movies are coming out now that really have no point, and the actors in them need to DIAF. Indie Films are taking in a lot of popularity and that’s exciting…those movies are genuinly good.
